AQHA Recognition for Dressage
A 2007 AQHA Rule Change gives Quarter Horse riders year-end awards and recognition!
A top-10 year-end recognition program has been approved by AQHA.
The top award will go to the highest-percentage scoring American Quarter Horse who performs at an approved United States Dressage Federation or International Equestrian Federation event.
To be eligible for the program, you must have eight scores from four different judges and four different competitions.
Although they haven’t been finalized, the suggested awards for this program include saddles, belt buckles and certificates. No AQHA show points will be awarded. Ties will be broken by the average of the best eight scores.
To be recognized in the program, you must compete on an American Quarter Horse, using that horse’s registered name and registration number; you must be an AQHA member; and the event must be judged by United States Equestrian Federation-approved judge.
